Spend time walking around and exploring downtown Morristown!
Morristown is an amazing 'mini-city' town with youthful energy, great shops, restaurants, and bars! You can easily get there from The Madison either by car (street parking & garages available), Ubers / Lyfts, NJ Transit Train, or even a walk!
For the history buffs, it’s known for Morristown National Historical Park, with important Revolutionary War sites like Fort Nonsense and the New Jersey Brigade Area. Washington’s Headquarters Museum at the Ford Mansion preserves the 18th-century home occupied by Washington and his aides in the winter of 1779–1780. Jockey Hollow features an 18th-century farmhouse and reconstructed soldiers’ huts.
"The Greatest City in the World!"
It would be impossible to capture all that you can do in NYC in just a few sentences! Melissa and Dave absolutely love the city, so feel free to ask them any questions you might have if you're planning an excursion! It is easily accessible by car or riding an NJ Transit direct line into Penn Station, Manhattan.
Life's a beach, so play in the sand!
Popular beaches like Long Branch, Asbury Park, Belmar, and Point Pleasant are located only 1:15 drive from Morristown. Besides enjoying the sand and waves, there's fun bars & restaurants to enjoy too - Parker House, Bar Anticipation, Wonder Bar, Marina Grille, Playa Bowls, Surf Taco, and so many more!
